Music Director

Samuel is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, playing violin, viola, piano, flute, and other instruments. He is also a composer and conductor. He obtained the Master Degree of Fine Arts at the California Institute of the Arts.

As child, he started learning music theory, solfeggio and mandolin with his parents, which evolved into choir conducting when he was 15 years old. A few years later, he joined El Sistema as a founding member, becoming a member of the Youth Orchestra within this larger group. Later, he joined the Simon Bolivar Symphonic Orchestra, which is now led by the famous Gustavo Dudamel, conductor of LA Philharmonic and a 3rd generation member of El Sistema.

As a member of El Sistema, he regularly conducted the Simon Bolivar Orchestra and many youth orchestras, helping with their creation and development. Before moving to the USA, he was assistant conductor of the Valencia Symphonic Orchestra. He recorded his own CDs and he also led Choirs with great success integrating the youth and adults in culturally and ethnically diverse communities.

Currently he is leading Community Synergy Inc, a non-profit corporation focused on developing the musical abilities of the youth and adults.
